MUFE Aqua Brow vs NYX Brow Gel

Welcome everybody to my blog! I decided that I will be doing proper reviews as on Instagram I feel slightly limited and I would like to share with you all my thoughts on different products that I used! Today I will write a little bit about brow products that I used.

As I have mentioned on my Instagram, I have no brows – the joys of being born blonde with invisible brows. People gave me bad experience with henna (my brows ended up being asymmetrical) therefore I prefer to use make-up to get the brows I want.

Today I will compare two products: Make-Up Forever aqua brow in shade brown black and NYX eyebrow gel in shade espresso:

On the picture, you can see that mine Aqua Brow is coming to an end. I have been using this for almost a year and it was a good value for money, thanks to Sephora for discount! Just to make the long story short, I will write a quick summary of each product:

MUFE AQUA BROW:

• 7ml of product
• 7 different shades
• Smooth formula
• Easy to apply
• Long lasting and waterproof
• Great value for money (£17 in Debenhams)

I have managed to take too much product out very often. If you want it to last even longer, use a little bit and add more if needed. Don't be put off by its price - if it lasts a year think about it as a long run investment: it will cost you roughly £1.41 per month.


NYX EYEBROW GEL:

• 10ml of product
• 5 different shades
• Thick, greasy formula
• Difficult to apply
• Long lasting and waterproof
• Bargain (£5.50 in Boots/Selfridges)

I decided to look for a similar product and came across that NYX Brow Gel. The formula is very thick - I wouldn't even call it a gel as I struggled to apply it on my hand, not mentioning the brush. I have tried to warm the product up in my hands to see if it will be easier to get the product out. It worked, but the formula was still no match to Aqua Brow. I gave it another go with a drop of Inglot’s Duraline, which has finally solved the issue! Let’s be serious though, who has time in the morning to make the product work? I probably won't finish the product, but as I hate wasting makeup I will try to use as much of it as I can.

I am currently testing Benefit brow products. I have received Gimme Brow for free whilst shopping and I bought the new Elle (just for the item of course!) so I will share my thoughts on these at some point.
